Attorney Profile

    Hello, my name is Oscar Acuna and I am the principal attorney of this office. I have lived in Southern California all my life. I was born in East Los Angeles, raised in La Puente, and educated in Los Angeles and San Diego- with a J.D. law degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. I am a member of the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
I am admitted to practice in the following jurisdictions:
     State of California- all state court levels
     U.S. District Court- Central District of California
     U.S. Bankruptcy Court- Central District of California

    I gained practical experience by working as a legal intern with an estate planning firm in San Diego and an L. A. firm practicing before the Dependency Court (“children’s law”). Family law came from a more roundabout way- most of the law questions from family and friends over the years were about child custody, support, or divorce. I have volunteered in the past with an immigration law non-profit and am currently volunteering for the last 5 years with a family law non-profit that helps victims of domestic violence. Before beginning my legal career I worked in the warehouse industry for some 5-6 years.
In my free time I like to read non-fiction, watch sci-fi television shows and movies, and explore little hole in the wall restaurants, museums and all manner of curiosities throughout Southern California.
